There's No Place Like Home 60x40"
60×40” (1.5” deep), Photograhic composite mounted on stained birch panel.
Layers: This forest near Paris, France was both inspiration and subject for the Barbizon school of painters in the mid 1800’s; detail from an image of gold cork colours parts of the trees. The clouds in the sky are an image of a rough piece of Malachite, a stone that represents positive transformation. Floating in the foreground are hints of lily pads and coral, which I photographed underwater while snorkeling in a cenote in Mexico. The green chair is one of my personal favourites; it used to be my “breakfast chair”, but has since been taken over by our cat.
UV protective varnish applied. Limited edition of 10. Larger and smaller sizes also available - 72×48” and 48x36” - made to order.
